Just As I Am

Romans 15:7 - Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. KJV

We live in a world where acceptance means everything.  This desire to be accepted starts at a very young age.  My son is only eight and I have watched him battle with acceptance at school.  It is sad that we live in a world where who your parents are, how much money you have makes a difference.  His struggle to be accepted by his peers lasted for two years.  Finally this year he has done just that he found a group of  friends and it has bee such a great difference in his attitude toward school.  I want him to learn to accept others no matter how they may be different from us.  We talk a lot about how we need to love others as Christ love us Just as we are.  With God we are free to come to him as we are and he will accept us despite the name brand of our clothes.

Another of my favorite songs.  In fact this song describes me.
